About Vallon Jackson
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. I also hold a Bachelors in Business Management with a minor in African American Studies from the University of Houston. Having worked in substance use rehabilitation facilities, counseling agencies and private practice settings, I have a broad range of experience and passion for helping others.
Through counseling that is goal-oriented and based on a collaborative client-counselor relationship, I aim to address and treat ongoing challenges posed by various diagnoses and the stress that comes with everyday life. I am passionate about helping people heal from trauma that has become crippling for them, once they are ready to start doing the work. I am also dedicated to helping those who have experienced or are currently experiencing racial trauma. My aim is to help adolescents and adults learn how to manage the anxiety, depression, anger, stress and other issues that are present through individual sessions and other interventions.
If you are ready to take the first step in your healing journey, I am here to help guide you through. I know it can be scary opening yourself up to someone new, that is why I want to offer you a safe, judgment free space to work on healing. You are worthy and deserve a chance to heal and become the best version of yourself. You are enough!
